uk.rec.scouting Abbrieviation and Acronym Guide

This list is maintained by Dave Laird. Please contact him with any suggestions, errors or omissions.

This is a list of the Abbreviations and Acronyms (Abbrevonyms?) in common use on uk.rec.scouting. It is by no means exhaustive so please feel free to mail me with anything you think needs to be added. Also included is a list of commonly used abbrevonyms for governing bodies of various sports and activities, for which I was unable to find an exhaustive list. However, the Sport England web site has a list of links to the home pages of many of these organisations.

Abbrevonynms which apply solely to Girl Guiding UK are marked with [GG]
